Joint Compounds

BASF Construction Additives is offering a comprehensive Additive Portfolio for gypsum based Joint Compounds. It comprises wetting agents for reduced lump formation, thickeners to optimize rheology and swellable polymers reduced shrinkage properties.

Quicker drying times, better adhesion, and improved crack resistance are just some of the challenges that construction material manufacturers must face when managing the technical performance of drywall compounds. They also deal with a growing demand for more sustainable and environmentally friendly binder options that include:

  • Low volatile organic compounds (VOCs)
  • Increased recyclability
  • Compliance with changing regulations and standards for construction products

Highlight products

R+D VINAPOR WA 3710 F
R+D Vinapor® WA 3710 F is a wetting agent that lowers the surface tension thus enabling a fast and safe preparation of dry mortar products resulting in a faster mixing process, it reduces water demand and lump formation.
HyCon R 7200 F
HyCon® R 7200 F is a powder retarder construction additive. This setting retarder is used for calcium sulphate hemihydrate based flowable dry mortar products. HyCon® R 7200 F is designed to selectively delay the gypsum formation.
STARVIS SE 35 F
Starvis® SE 35 F is a powder based thickening construction additive for non-sag dry mortar products. It introduces sag-resistance along with an excellent workability profile. It is designed to prolong the open time and the pot life.
Technical Information: Preservation of Polymer Dispersions
Covering the selection of biocides for preservation to proper handling and storage techniques, ensuring the stability and quality of water-based polymer dispersions throughout their shelf life. Whether you are involved in production, packaging, transportation, or storage of polymer dispersions, this information will help you maintain optimal microbiological quality and ensure the longevity of your products.
Technical Information: Handling and Storage of Polymer Dispersions
Polymer dispersions are increasingly processed in various industries. Bulk delivery by road or rail tanker is more convenient for processing facilities. This Technical Information provides an overview of the advantages of bulk delivery and requirements for storage tanks. It also describes measures for handling bulk deliveries of polymer dispersions.
