Hot-Mix Asphalt Pavement (HMA) and Warm-Mix Asphalt Pavement (WMA) with Improved Performance
Hot-mix asphalt (HMA) is a mixture of bitumen and aggregates, such as gravel and sand. It requires heating to approximately 170-180 degrees Celsius before being laid. Warm-mix asphalt (WMA) is applied at a lower temperature, typically 30-40 degrees Celsius lower than that used for HMA. To ensure dry aggregates, application occurs at around 130-150 degrees Celsius and at a minimum of 110 degrees Celsius. Both HMA and WMA are ideal for large-scale road construction projects. They offer benefits such as durability, greater flexibility in polymer modification, and moldability.
Our modifiers are specifically designed for direct dosage into the pug mill of hot-mix/warm-mix asphalt plants. With reduced costs and a portfolio of highly optimized modifications, our customers can engineer HMA/WMA with precisely the required properties.
