Tack Coats, Bond Coats

Bond coats, also referred to as tack coats, are crucial for creating a strong adhesive bond between asphalt layers. The use of polymer modifications enhances the adhesive strength of bond coats, reducing chances for failure. The production of bitumen emulsions for bond coats can occur at lower temperatures, resulting in reduced emissions and improved ecological efficiency.
