Polyurethane dispersion (PUD) for interior trim
Technical lamination for interior trim can play a key role in reducing the carbon emissions generated during vehicle manufacturing – and fundamentally change the way we design, build, use and recycle vehicles. We need smart surfaces for smart mobility.
Treated surface materials play a key role in the development and production of modern vehicle interiors. The automotive industry and its suppliers employ many different technologies in this production process. Thermolamination is the most-flexible and most-sophisticated procedure. Carrier materials made of bonded natural fiber or plastic – like ABS – are refined with the help of thermoplastic films in the form of PVC, TPO or other textile materials. This lamination process calls for the use of reliable and resilient automotive adhesives in the manufacturing and trimming of door, dashboards, a/b/c columns, parcel shelves, or car consoles.
