MyIndustryWorld
The bio-based raw material in Acronal® MB BC 5555 leads to a reduction of the product carbon footprint (PCF) by around 31% compared to a purely fossil-based product grade.
To reduce the PCF even further, BASF’s biomass balance (BMB) approach is applied to the remaining fossil part of the polymer.
100% of the electricity used in the production process of Acronal® MB BC 5555 comes from renewable sources.
The result is an acrylic binder for the formulation of CTA (D1) and primer products with a cradle-to-gate product carbon footprint (PCF) of zero.
