Stefan Trifunovic

Stefan Trifunovic is a pavement engineering researcher at the Institut für Straßenwesen at TU Braunschweig. He has a background in civil engineering and has contributed to numerous research projects focused on testing bitumen and asphalt mastic using the Dynamic Shear Rheometer. He is currently engaged in developing alternative pavement materials. His work has been published in various scientific journals and presented at major conferences. He is also actively involved in RILEM activities.

At the Asphalt Symposium, he will present his research on the technology concept for bio-asphalt mixtures, which highlights a novel approach based on 100% reclaimed asphalt pavement (RAP) with no use of fresh, fossil-based bitumen. This approach offers a sustainable alternative that significantly reduces resource consumption and CO_₂ emissions.
