Featured coating methods

A single layer slot die with a Soft Touch nozzle from our partner SM Klebetechnik applies acResin® evenly and precisely e.g. on PET film. This coating method enables low coat weights for pressure-sensitive labels, high coat weights for specialty tapes and coating on nonwoven or woven fabrics for medical applications.
The dual layer coating technology expands design options by combining different coat weights and properties in one pass thanks to the co-extrusion nozzle from SM Klebetechnik. This coating method can be applied both in Soft Touch mode or as a curtain coater.

Dual layer coating unlocks a new world of possibilities

The co-extrusion nozzle developed by our partner SM Klebetechnik can apply two acResin^® films simultaneously with different coat weights and properties, significantly expanding application design options. This creates room for new product concepts where each coating layer is tuned for a specific role. For example, one layer can focus on functional surface properties while the other layer provides anchoring.

Dual layer slot die curtain coating for stable, even application

Beyond Soft Touch mode, the same dual layer approach can also be used as curtain coater. The paper substrate passes through a stable, uniform curtain, supporting consistent coverage across the substrate.

Highest performance including the no-label-look

For demanding requirements such as the no-label-look, acResin^® can achieve self-adhesive films with outstanding transparency and quality. In the video, we show a clear-on-clear filmic label produced with a single layer slot die in Soft Touch mode at our Adhesive Coating Center.
