acResin® UV 3532 enables
- Premium no-label look on PET bottles
- High-clarity filmic labels for strong visual impact at the point of sale
- Reliable wash‑off during standard recycling operations, supporting clean PET streams

MyIndustryWorld
RecyClass – a cross-industry initiative and leading authority for recyclability assessment - has approved acResin® UV 3532 for use on PET bottles, confirming its full compatibility with established European PET recycling processes. During standard recycling operations, labels using acResin® UV 3532 as pressure-sensitive adhesive (PSA) can be removed reliably, enabling clean PET streams and supporting high-quality recyclate. RecyClass Technology Approval
Our technology opens new opportunities for recyclable PET packaging: high‑clarity filmic labels that fully wash off during recycling. This enables brand owners and converters to stay compliant with regulations such as the EU PPWR while still enjoying full design freedom and reliable performance.
With the RecyClass approval, BASF demonstrates that existing pressure-sensitive adhesives (PSA) can also meet demanding recycling requirements while maintaining high performance in label applications. To achieve this milestone, the team has been building on the product’s successful track record with recycling-friendly, high-clarity labels on glass bottles.
In view of the upcoming implementation of the EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) and its mandatory recycled content targets, acResin® UV 3532 helps packaging producers to meet future legal requirements such as Design for Recycling Guidelines.
