EFKA® PB 2010 is a highly efficient silicone-free defoamer with good compatibility, intended to accelerate defoaming as well as to improve clarity in solvent-based coatings, especially high-gloss top coats. It eliminates foaming and blistering regardless of whether the air bubbles are a result of the substrate (e.g., wood or metal) or due to the application method (pumping, rolling, flooding or spraying). Due to its universal nature it can also be used for semi-matt and matt coats with a wide range of solvent-based binders such as Joncryl® polyols. EFKA® PB 2010 performs well for a wide range of applications and is particularly suitable for clear coatings, without haziness, as well as providing high gloss if required and and has no negative effect on intercoat adhesion.
